During a work trip, I visited Hacienda with friends that lived in Evansville. We arrived at 6 p.m. for dinner and we were seated right away. The restaurant is huge and colorful. It is perfect for groups or two people wanting to have drinks and catch up.
Each day they have a drink special. I went off that menu and ordered a mojito which was absolutely delicious. My friends stuck with margaritas on the rocks and were impressed by the selection of tequila.
I spotted the taco truck meal and was sold on it. It comes with 3 tacos and your choice of meat. I highly recommend the pork. I skipped the onions and should have also skipped the cilantro but it was easy enough to take off. It was a little strong for me but if you were into cilantro, it is plentiful and very fresh. The meal also comes with three sauces on the side and you get a soft tortilla wrapped around a crispy taco shell. The best of both worlds!
Friendly service and delicious food, plus I appreciated that our server continued to check on our party of four during our long stay. -

We are visiting Evansville to take our daughter to the hospital this week, and visited Hacienda for dinner one evening. Although the restaurant was very clean and spacious, we found the service poor, and the food was just ok.
Our waitress seemed distracted and not attentive to our table, nor any of her other tables. We were going to order more food and alcohol, but left shortly after our meal arrived.
Regarding our meal .... it was just ok. But I wouldn't characterize as great mexican food. For example, the salsa brought to our table was essentially a flavored ketchup. When I requested a better and spicier salsa from our waitress, she offered to bring two more varieties, however she never did bring those additional types. -

Yum! This is such a great choice when seeking out great Mexican food and delicious margaritas in the Evansville area!
To start off, the location is super convenient. It is right down Green River Road from the Eastland Mall and other popular shopping attractions.
During the actual experience, each person gets their own little salsa bowl which is something I love anywhere I go. My personal favorite entree here is the Shredded Chicken Chimichanga. They give you the option of yellow or white cheese on most everything, which I think is a great choice to have! Their sides of rice and beans are so tasty, too! The margaritas are outstanding; I really love the frozen ones!
Visiting this location has become a "Black Friday" tradition for my family and me each year. Even during one of the busiest days of the year, the service is very reasonable and the wait is not too terrible.
I recommend checking it out for some tasty food and drinks! -

I go to Hacienda for the seafood chimichangas. I haven't found them anywhere else since Chi Chi's closed 2 or 3 decades ago.
The seafood chimis here are good. Really, though, that's about the only thing I care for on the menu so I'm predictable when I come and why I only gave this a 3 star rating. Chips and salsa is so-so.
Chrissy, my waitress was super nice and attentive. Customer service is really important to me so having good wait staff is a bonus. I hope if Hacienda's management staff reads this that they will give her a high five during the next staff meeting.
I know a lot of folks in this area congregate here for the happy hour specials. It really is a popular place and the parking lot is usually packed during lunch as well as most evenings.
The restaurant is easily accessible right on Green River Road and has a shared parking lot with the shopping center here. -
